San Angelo, Texas- The Angelo State Rambelles golf team will open the 2024-25 season in the Swan Memorial, hosted by Colorado Christian, from Sept. 9-10.  

The Course: The Belles will travel to Broomfield, Colo. for the Swam Memorial, where they will play the Broadlands Golf Course.  

The Players:  

• Louise Hofgren, Caitlin Vanderkruk, Lacey Stevens, Mia Clarke and Johanna Ohrling will compete as the team for the Belles. 

•  Avery Burns will also travel and compete as an individual golfer for Angelo State.  

The Quick Hits:  

• Stevens is the only returning Belle from the 2023-24 roster.  

• Hofgren joins the Angelo State roster from Orebro, Sweden.  

• Vanderkruk is another new addition to the Belles roster for the 2024-25 season. From Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, she was named the Kelvin Grove State Golfer of the Year from 2017-23 and received the Sportsman of the Year award in 2022.  

• Clarke joins ASU as a transfer from McLennan Community College. During her time at the NJCCA level, she was a NJCCA All-Academic selection and earned five top-10 finishes.  

• Ohrling rounds out the top five for the Belles in the Swan Memorial. She joins the team from Linkoping, Sweden where she was named Junior Golfer of the Year at her home club in 2021. 

Last Time at the Swan Memorial:  

• The Rambelles competed in the Swan Memorial as their first tournament of the 2023 Fall season. 

• The Belles finished tied for sixth in the tournament last season.  

• Stevens tied for 26th in the tournament with a combined score of 235 through the three rounds of play.
