Portales, N.M. – The Angelo State men's basketball team dropped the first game of their four-game road trip this evening to Eastern New Mexico, with the Greyhounds claiming an 82-62 win over the Rams inside Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.
Despite the loss,
Kaden Evans scored a season-high 20 points on 7-for-11 shooting from the field and 6-for-10 shooting from three. He also grabbed four rebounds and grabbed a team-high four steals.
Carvell Teasett had 11 points off the bench, making three three-pointers. He and
Kendrick Delahoussaye led the team with three assists each.
Shemar Smith had 10 points on 4-for-7 shooting, grabbing two rebounds and two steals.
Sterling Gaston-Chapman had eight points, while
Denim Dawson added six.
The Rams are 13-9 on the season and 9-7 in LSC play. They close out their weekend on Saturday afternoon against West Texas A&M, who are coming off a win over UT Permian Basin in Canyon.
