No. 12 Rams, No. 16 Rambelles Set for LSC Outdoor Championships

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State track and field teams will travel to Eastern New Mexico this week as the 12th-ranked Rams and 16th-ranked Rambelles compete at the 2025 Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships beginning Thursday, May 1.

Last Time Out:
Competing at the ASU Invite, Solomon Odonkor ran the fastest 100m time in Division II this season, clocking in at 10.08. He also ran the seventh-best time in the 200m, winning with a time of 20.55. Fedra Florentin won the shot put with a toss of 14.83m (48-8) which puts her 14th in Division II.
 
Quick Notes:
-The Rams & Rambelles hold the top mark in the Lone Star in 10 events heading into the championships.
-Overall, ASU has 28 marks that rank in the top three in the conference.
-Odonkor leads all of Division II in the 100m while Oleg Ananev leads the country in the pole vault at 5.60m.
-The Rams hold five marks that rank in the top 10 in Division II while the Rambelles have three marks.
-In the USTFCCCA Top 25 rankings, the Rams are the third-highest ranked men's team in the LSC while the Rambelles are the second-highest ranked.
-The last time the LSC Outdoor Championships were held in Portales, N.M., was in 2019 when the Rams and Rambelles swept both titles.
