RICHARDSON, Texas – The Angelo State track and field teams grabbed two Lone Star Conference Athletes of the Week honors after sweeping the 53
rd Annual David Noble Relays.
Mark Burdin, a management major from Kazan, Russia, was named the LSC men's field athlete of the week after claiming the top mark in Division II in the decathlon, scoring 7,338 points. He finished first in seven of the events over the two-day competition.
Earning the LSC women's field athlete of the week honor was
Federica Dozio, an engineering major from Beverate, Italy. She won the won the javelin, throwing 50.03m (164-2), which was an NCAA Division II provisional mark and ranks third in the country.
