SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State men's basketball team will play at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena for the first time this season, as it hosts Wayland Baptist at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
The Rams are coming off a weekend that a saw the team fall to East Central Oklahoma 73-79, and then rebounding against Truman State 69-63.
Wayland Baptist comes into the contest with a 1-1 record and is led by Matt Garnett in his first season. The Pioneers are lead in scoring by T.J. Jacobs at 16.5 points per game. Three other players are averaging double-digit points.
The Rams are being led by Javae Gilchrist-King's 18.5 points per game and
Keenen Coleman's 17.0 points per game. Reggie Brice averages 8.5 boards per game.
Angelo State has been aided by a .359 percentage from behind the three-point line compared to .300 for its opponents.
The men's game is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the Junell Center/Stephens Arena. It will be the second of a double header with the Belles. Fans are encouraged to come out early and support the Belles as they face UTPB at 6 p.m.
