SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State men's basketball team will play in the St. Mary's Classic against host St. Mary's and Southeastern State on Friday, Nov. 25 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 26 at 5:30 p.m. in the Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio, Texas.
The Rams (3-1) have three players averaging double-digit points.
Hanif Nixon-Hughes (25.0),
Keenen Coleman (20.3) and
Javae King-Gilchrist (16.0) are the team's leading scorers. Angelo State has been distributing the ball with accuracy, as the team averages 15.5 assists per game this season.
St. Mary's comes into the matchup at 1-0 after beating Incarnate Word 70-61. Four players scored double-digit points led by Keven Kotzer. Kotzer had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. This will be the first of two meetings for the two teams. The first game is scheduled for Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
Southeastern Oklahoma is 1-4 on the season. Urald King leads the team with 15.4 points per game. Four players are averaging double-digit points with the team scoring 70.4 points per game. Fellow Lone Star Conference members Eastern New Mexico and Tarleton State have beaten the Savage Storm already this season. The Rams will take on Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 5:30 p.m.
