The Series
Angelo State and Cameron will meet for the 25th time in program history this weekend and the Rams hold a slight edge in the all-time series as they are 13-11 against the Aggies. The Rams are 5-5 at McCord Field in Lawton, Okla. The last time the two squads met, Angelo State topped Cameron, 14-6, at the Lone Star Conference Tournament last May after dropping the first meeting of the tournament, 17-7, two days earlier. Last season, then-No. 27 Cameron won the series against Angelo State three games to one.

The Coaches
Angelo State:
Kevin Brooks (Baylor, 1994) has been the head baseball coach of the Angelo State Rams since the program's inception in 2005. During his tenure at Angelo State, Brooks has compiled a 264-147 (.642) overall record which includes the LSC South Division title in 2006, the LSC and NCAA Division II South Central Regional titles in 2007, and a semifinal appearance in the 2009 South Central Regional tournament. Brooks' 2007 squad won the regional championship for the first time in school history, enabling ASU to make its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II College World Series. He has coached 54 All-Lone Star Conference selections, 14 All-Region picks and seven All-Americans. Brooks has also prepared his players for the next level as 18 former Rams have played or are currently playing professional baseball.

Cameron: Todd Holland (Cameron, 1998) is in his eighth season at the helm of the Cameron baseball team and has put together a 259-161 (.617) overall record. He led the Aggies to their first winning season in over a decade in his first year as head coach. Since then, Holland has continued to guide the Aggies to winning records and was named Co-Lone Star Conference North Division Head Coach of the Year in 2005. This year, he has led Cameron to a 28-13 overall mark and a 20-10 conference ledger which is good for fourth in the LSC standings.

The Program
• Angelo State swept West Texas A&M last weekend and moved into sixth place in the Lone Star Conference standings.
• The Rams recorded their 11th come-from behind victory in the night cap as they erased a six-run Buffs' lead to defeat WTAMU, 10-9, in walk-off fashion.
• Despite dropping a non-conference game to Texas A&M International on Tuesday, the Rams managed to record their first triple play in program history in the top of the first inning.
• In just its third year of existence, the Angelo State's baseball program reached the NCAA Division II College World Series in 2007 marking the fastest such trip in NCAA history. The 2007 squad won a school record 51 games that season and had three Rams garner All-America honors.
• This season, the Rams look to build on the success built in previous seasons with seventh year head coach Kevin Brooks at the helm. Brooks is assisted by Jerod Goodale, former All-American and former Ram, Drew Caraway, Rex Scofield and student assistant Michel Robles.
