Angelo State (35-14, 19-8 LSC) will go into next week's LSC Baseball Championship as the regular season champion, regardless of results of Sunday's regular season finale after taking the first three games of their series against the Wildcats along with a West Texas A&M loss to Eastern New Mexico and a Texas A&M-Kingsville doubleheader sweep of Incarnate Word on Saturday. The 300th win comes in the eighth season of the program and takes it to a 300-163 overall record. ASU has now beat the Wildcats six straight times dating back to last season's three-game sweep in Abilene.
