Rams, Aggies set for three-game set in Lawton

SAN ANGELO – The No. 26-ranked Angelo State baseball team begins the second half of Lone Star Conference play this weekend with a three-game set against Cameron in Lawton, Oklahoma.

The Rams (21-10, 10-9 LSC) swept a four-game series against the Aggies (14-16, 8-11 LSC) earlier this season at Foster Field and own a 29-17 all-time advantage in the series history. The series begins with a 2 p.m. game on Friday before a 1 p.m. doubleheader (7/9 innings) on Saturday.

ASU is coming off a 4-3 non-conference win over No. 13 St. Mary's on Tuesday, while the Aggies did not play a midweek game after splitting a four-game series against West Texas A&M last weekend at Cameron Field. ASU, which is 5-8 on the road, will complete an 11-game conference road trip with the three games at CU and will host Tarleton State in a four-game series next weekend at Foster Field where the Rams are 16-2 at this season.  Cameron is 7-6 at home this season.
