SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University women's soccer team travels to Canyon, Texas, and Portales, New Mexico, to take on Lone Star Conference opponents West Texas A&M and Eastern New Mexico University on Thursday, October 17 and Saturday, October 19. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. on Thursday and 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Series Matchup:
Against West Texas A&M, the Belles are 8-10-4 since 2006. The last time these two teams met was in 2018, where the Lady Buffs defeated ASU, 2-1, and both teams tied 0-0. The Blue and Gold are on a three-game losing streak to the Buffs and look to get back into the win column. The Belles enter the match 9-1-1 overall and 5-0-1 in conference. The Lady Buffs hold a 4-5 record overall and a 3-2 conference record.

Against Eastern New Mexico, the Belles lead the series 18-3-1 since 2006. Angelo State is currently on a 12 game win streak since 2014. The two teams have battled twice every year until 2016 and three times in 2017 and 2018 with the Belles defeating the Greyhounds in three shutouts, 4-0, 1-0 and 2-0, in the 2018 season, respectively. The Belles hosted Lubbock Christian and the University of Texas – Permian Basin this past weekend and came out with two 2-1 victories. Against Lubbock Christian, the Belles trailed 1-0 at the half until a late rally in the final five minutes of the second half when
Kiah Benham hit the back left corner of the net to tie the game 1-1 and force overtime.
Trenadey Scott wasted no time and hit the game winner in less than a minute and a half into the overtime period to give the Belles a 2-1 victory.

Against UTPB, the Belles had a slow start in the first half until
Avery McNeme found the back of the net in the 29
th minute to give ASU a 1-0 lead. At the start of the second half, the Falcons tied it up 1-1 to threaten a comeback. However, a late second half rally by McNeme pushed ASU to victory, 2-1.

Trenadey Scott leads the conference in shots and shots on goal with 48 and 25, respectively. She averages 4.36 shots per game and 2.27 shots on goal per game. Scott ranks second in conference for goals with six.

Avery McNeme has been a force for the Belles offense this season and ranks first in the conference for assists with nine. She is averaging .750 assists per game. McNeme ranks second behind Scott in shots on goal with 21 and a 1.75 average.

Kira Miller leads the conference in shutouts with five. Miller ranks third for goals against average with a .658. Miller has earned Goalkeeper of the Week once so far this season for her performance for the Belles.
