SAN ANGELO, Texas - The Angelo State women's soccer team had
Melyna Martinez and
Harper Saxon selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams, the Organization announced.
A total of 13 institutions had at least one student athlete named to the All-South Central Regional teams.
Melyna Martinez was selected to the Third-Team All-South Central Region. Martinez played 1674 minutes, starting all 19 matches. Martinez led the LSC in shutouts with 10. Martinez recorded 59 saves, and allowed 13 goals on the season. Martinez was named the Goalkeeper of the Year in the Lone Star Conference and was named to the All-Conference First Team.
Harper Saxon was also selected to the Third-Team All-South Central Region. Saxon played 1642 minutes this season, leading the backline for the Rambelles. Saxon was named to the All-Conference Second Team and All-Academic Team in the LSC.
