SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University men's basketball team opens conference action on Saturday, November 23 against Lubbock Christian University and entered the South Central Regional poll at the No. 4 spot. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m.

Series Info:
Angelo State leads the all-time series against the Chaparrals, 20-5. The last time these two teams met on the court was December 19, 2017 at LCU. The Rams defeated the Chaps 83-77. Former player Brandon Williams led the way with 19 points, while teammates James Kirksey (17), Antonio Singleton (14), Daron Mims (11), and Ja'Michael Brown (10) contributed to the Rams offense with double digit points as well.
 
Last Time Out: 
The Blue and Gold traveled to California to participate in the Logsdon Classic and defeated Sonoma State in an overtime thriller, 82-78, followed by a victory over San Francisco State, 88-68. Andres Ibarguen finished with his first career double-double against Sonoma State with 16 rebounds and 10 points. Collin Turner finished with 30 points and shot over 60 percent from the field and beyond the arc to help carry the Rams to a 2-0 start. Due to Ibarguen's and Turner's performances, they swept the Lone Star Conference Player of the Week awards.
 
Notable Players:
Jeremy Hayes combined for 34 total points in California and averaged 17 points a game. He had seven rebounds and shot .818 percent from the free throw line.
 
Ronald Bell returns as a key player for the Rams offense. He combined for 42 points over the past weekend and averaged 21 points a game. He totaled 10 rebounds.
