SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University men's basketball team returns home to the Junell Center to host No. 6 St. Edward's University and St. Mary's on Thursday, January 23 and Saturday, January 25, respectively. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 4:00 p.m on Saturday.

The Hilltoppers enter the weekend 16-1 overall and 10-1 in Lone Star Conference action. St. Edward's is on a 10-game winning streak and has not lost a game since November 23 against Texas A&M-Commerce. This will be the 15
th meeting on the hardwood between both teams with ASU leading the all-time series, 11-3. The last time these two teams met in the regular season was November 17, 2018 with SEU claiming a 65-58 victory. SEU and ASU met a second time that season in the postseason at the NCAA DII South Central Regional with the Hilltoppers edging out the Rams, 82-81.

Andres Ibarguen carried the Rams' offense and defense, scoring a career-high 27 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Ibarguen went 11-of-12 from the floor and 5-of-7 from the free throw line. Against Eastern New Mexico,
