WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Angelo State University women's tennis team swept this weekend, closing out the weekend with a 4-1 victory over Metropolitan State University of Denver on Saturday morning.
The Belles improve to 10-1 overall on the season.

- Valentina Gonzalez and partner Ena Ovcina were back in the lineups today, taking a 6-4 victory over their opponents on court 1 doubles.
- The duo of Zoe Gubbels and Virginie Becht claimed the doubles point for ASU with a 6-0 win over their opponents on court 2.
- In singles, Dianela Rodriguez picked up the second point for the Belles in two hard fought sets, taking set one by a score of 7-5 and set two by a score of 6-3.
- Gubbels claimed the third point in singles in two straight sets by scores of 6-3 and 6-0.
- The Roadrunners grabbed one point in the match, defeating Ovcina by scores of 6-2 and 6-4.
- Becht clinched the match for the Blue and Gold with ease in two straight sets by scores of 6-2 and 6-0.
- Gonzalez and Delgadillo were in the middle of the matches by the time the match was clinched.
