Rams Advance to the NCAA DII Postseason as the No. 2 Seed in Super Region Four

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State football team has advanced to the NCAA Division II Playoffs, earning the No. 2 seed in the Super Region Four selection.
 
The Rams, making the NCAA postseason for the first time since the 2014 season, will host Minnesota - Duluth in the opening round at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 20 with a 1 p.m. kickoff.
 
ASU won its last five straight games to end the season, taking a 9-2 overall record in to the playoffs with one of the most dominant defenses in Division II and the most powerful run game in the Lone Star Conference.
 
Colorado School of Mines took the top seed in the region followed by ASU, Western Colorado at No. 3, and Augustana at No. 4 to round out the host sites.
 
Ticket information for Saturday's game will be released Monday morning.
