SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State men's basketball team saw three members named to the LSC All-Conference list as
Tyrell Carroll,
Paul Williams, and
Lathaniel Bastian earned honors, the conference announced Wednesday evening.
Carroll was selected to the Second-Team All-Conference as well as the LSC All-Defensive Team. Williams earned his second straight conference nod, as he was named to the Third-Team. Bastian, in his first season with the Rams, was named an Honorable Mention.
Carroll leads the Rams in points averaging 13.3 per game, assists, dishing out 4.4 a contest (5
th In LSC), and steals, averaging 2.4 per game, best in conference. Carroll currently has the third most steals in a single season in ASU history with 64.
Williams is second on the team in scoring, averaging 13 per game. He has made the most threes for the Rams this season, knocking down 61 triples. Williams has also contributed 58 assists and 35 steals this season.
Bastian leads the Rams in rebounding and blocked shots, averaging 7.8 boards and 1.4 blocks. He has pulled down 219 rebounds, 90 on the offensive glass. Bastian shoots an impressive 61 percent from the field, as he averages 11.3 points.
The Rams currently sit 20-8 on the season and are slated for a 2:30 tip in the LSC quarterfinals tomorrow, Mar. 3 against rivals West Texas A&M at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas.
