SAN ANGELO, Texas – The sixth-ranked Angelo State baseball team will host the South Central Regional as the top seed beginning on Thursday, May 19 at Foster Field at 1
st Community Credit Union Stadium.
The Rams will face the loser of game one between No. 5 MSU Denver and No. 4 Texas A&M – Kingsville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The double-elimination tournament continues on Friday with two games and an if necessary game on Saturday.

The Rams locked up their second straight and fifth overall Lone Star Tournament title last weekend, defeating UT Tyler before earning back-to-back wins over West Texas A&M.
Austin Beck was selected as the tournament MVP after hitting .692 in three games with nine hits, eight runs scored, and six RBIs. Also making the All-Tournament team was pitchers

SCOUTING TEXAS A&M – KINGVILLE:
The Javelinas hold a 31-18 overall record on the season, finishing fourth in the Lone Star Conference with a record of 28-16. TAMUK fell in the opening round of the LSC tournament, losing the tiebreaker against UT Tyler. The Javelinas posted the top ERA in the LSC at 4.92 while holding the fifth-best team batting average at .307.
TAMUK's pitching staff collected six shutouts on the year which led the LSC, ranking sixth in the country. Kobe Jaramillo and Brandon Symmank ranked second and third in the conference in ERA at 3.36 and 3.44 respectively. Symmank held opponents to a batting average of .209 followed by teammate Logan Garza at .226. Taylor Colton recorded an LSC best eight saves on the season which ranks 17
th overall in Division II.
At the plate, Nick Wolff holds a .696 slugging percentage which is fifth in the Lone Star while earning a .361 batting average. Giancarlo Servin leads the Javelinas with a .364 batting average, collecting a team-high 52 RBIs on the season. TAMUK has also stolen 85 bases in 111 attempts this season.
SCOUTING MSU DENVER:
The Roadrunners earned a bid to the national tournament after claiming the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament title, defeating Colorado Mesa 8-5. MSU Denver is 34-20 overall on the season and finished second in the conference in batting average (.338) and third in team ERA (6.36).
One of the most high-powered offenses in the country, the Roadrunners rank first in the country in doubles (153), third in hits (642), fourth in home runs (109), and fourth in runs scored (542). MSU Denver has 12 players batting over .300 on the season with Cam Yuran leading the way with a .399 average with 67 hits and 55 RBIs. Bill Ralston leads the team in RBIs with 71, collecting 21 home runs followed by Ross Smith with 65 RBIs and 20 homers.
On the mound, Reichle Arcilise leads all starters with a 3.63 ERA, holding a 5-3 record in nine appearances while Conner Nantkes has collected the most wins for the Roadrunners with seven. Arcilise also has 69 strikeouts which was the fifth most in the RMAC.
QUICK HITS:

-Lee has recorded the seventh-most hits with 85 followed by Beck who ranks 10
th with 84.

-Beck is sixth in the country in runs scored with 77.
