- ASU opens the season undefeated through the first four games for the third consecutive season.
- The Rambelles won their seventh consecutive opening day match 3-0 against Colorado Christian.
- Seniors Mia Czarnecki and Cassidy Hill were announced as captains for the 2022 campaign.
- ASU returns 19 of 28 letterwinners from the 2021 season which saw them advance to the second round of the NCAA DII National Tournament.
- Senior Reagan Urbany scored her second and third goals of the season last week, tying the game vs Mines and winning the 1-0 contest against Regis.
- Grace Jordan slotted home two goals in the first two matches, one in each of the two games. She now has seven career goals.
- Kira Miller earned her second clean sheet of the season against Regis the 30th of her career.
- Miller, the reigning Lone Star Conference goalkeeper of the year, has 12 saves four games into the season, she needs 43 saves to break the all-time saves record at Angelo State after making six during the opening weekend. She already holds the Belles all-time shutouts (30) and wins (46) titles.
- Miller and backline staple Hill were announced as LSC preseason Goalkeeper and Defender of the year, both for the second consecutive season.
- Head Coach Travis McCorkle enters his 15th season at the helm of the Belles program, looking to add more hardware following the team's second consecutive LSC Tournament Championship.
- Assistant Coach Harold Muñoz enters his sixth season with the Belles, and Avery McNeme enters the coaching ranks as the Belles graduate assistant following five years on the field.
ANGELO STATE vs. COLORADO MESA
- The Belles and Mavericks have matched up eight times to date. The Belles hold a slight edge, 4-3-1 all-time.
- The last time the teams played was in San Angelo in 2018 where Mesa bested the Belles 2-1 in overtime.
- The Mavericks turned around an 0-2 first week of the season in week two, beating Nebraska-Kearney 4-0 and Cal State-Dominguez Hills 5-0.
- Mesa finished second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) last season with a 14-4 record.
- Lila Dere is out and running for the Mavericks with seven goals through the first four games. She has scored at least one goal in each game and scored four against Nebraska Kearney.
- Evelyn Hammer scored four goals against Cal State Dominguez Hills, the second straight game a Maverick has scored four goals.
- Mesa was pinned to finish second in the RMAC in their preseason poll. The Mavericks received three first-place votes and 125 points, tied with UCCS, just three points behind the Mines whom the Belles drew with last week.
ANGELO STATE vs. FORT LEWIS
- The Belles hold the all-time series advantage over the Skyhawks, 7-2-5.
- The teams met in the 2019 season in Durango, Colo. where the Belles came away victorious 3-0. Valerie Solis scored a brace and Miller was able to keep a clean sheet.
- The Skyhawks are still searching for their first win in 2022, starting the season 0-3-1. Last week, losing to West Texas A&M and St. Mary's 3-0.
- The Skyhawks have not scored a goal through four games thus far (0-1, 0-0, 0-3, 0-3).
- Madyson Barela returns for the Skyhawks, coming off a team-leading five-goal, one-assist 2021 campaign.
- Fort Lewis was tabbed to finish eighth in the RMAC preseason poll after finishing eighth in 2021 with a 5-10-2 record.
