SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State Women's Tennis team kicks off a new era this weekend as they host the annual ASU Slam Fest under new Head Coach

The two-day tournament starting Friday will see competition from the Division I and Division III levels come to San Angelo and compete at four venues in the area in singles and doubles action.
Singles play will kick off the weekend on Friday at 1 p.m. at the ASU Tennis Courts, the recreational tennis courts on the ASU campus, and the Concho Valley Tennis Association.
Doubles play will start at 7 p.m. at Bentwood Country Club that evening.
Saturday's action will start with the final round of singles play at 10 a.m. at the three singles locations from Friday before the last two rounds of doubles play closes out the event.

The Rambelles return seven of their nine players from last season's team that went 16-8 overall and clinched a share of the LSC Regular Season Championship for the third consecutive time, led by reigning LSC Player of the Year

The Rambelles also return three all-conference performers in
Eva Schwartz,
Ramitha Irrinki, and
Ayda Guler.
Two newcomers join the ranks in freshmen

Following this weekend, the Rambelles are back in action in two weeks to compete in the ITA South Central Regional Championships in Arlington, Texas.
