SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State women's golf program inked their first signee under head coach
Barb Odale for the 2024-25 academic year as Johanna Ohrling signed her letter of intent to compete for the Belles next season.
Ohrling, a freshman from Linkoping Sweden, played golf at her high school where she earned the top GPA in her class. She won her club championship at Linkopings GC in both 2021 and 2022 while begin named the Junior of the Year at her home club in 2021.
From Coach Odale: "Johanna is a driven athlete with championship goals that align with where I envision our ASU program is headed towards. I am so excited that she chose Angelo over many other Division I schools. It will be fun to watch her continued growth as a person and player. She is the first piece of the foundation I am trying to build here at Angelo State."
While at ASU Ohrling intends to major in management.
