Rams Add Local Product Kollin Allbright to Incoming Class

SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State men's basketball program announces its first addition for the incoming 2024-25 class in San Angelo's Kollin Allbright.

Allbright, a 6-foot-9 forward, is a standout for Central HS and has been a three-year letter-winner for the Bobcats as he has helped Central make the playoffs each of the past two seasons.

"We are excited to keep Kollin in San Angelo!" head coach Vinay Patel exclaimed. "Our staff has kept a close eye on him since we arrived at ASU, and we are thrilled for him to suit up in the Blue and Gold! Kollin has soft hands and great feet for a big man, and he has been pushed extremely hard at Central."

Last season, Allbright averaged 14 points on 61 percent shooting from the field, averaging eight rebounds and a block per game. Allbright was a first-team all-district selection as he helped lead the Bobcats to a 21-10 overall record.

"Coach Rocky Feliciano and Coach CJ Villegas have done an incredible job getting him ready to play college basketball," said Patel. "He has tremendous size at 6'9", and we think his best basketball is ahead of him."

Allbright is averaging a double-double this season with 16 points and ten rebounds per contest. He is shooting 70 percent from the field and averages two blocks per game defensively. This season, the Bobcats own a 12-3 overall record.

"Our expectations for Kollin are sky-high as he graduates high school this year. We are losing some key pieces of our frontline to graduation this year, and there will be minutes available right away for him," said Patel. "He comes from an incredible family, and we are excited to continue to build a relationship with them as they join our program next season."

The Rams are 8-1 this season and 5-0 in LSC play; they are in action this Sunday and Monday at the Daytona Beach Shootout, where they will take on Rollins and No. 6 West Liberty.
