SAN ANGELO – Winners of their last four games, the Angelo State men's basketball team looks to make it five to close out the regular season when they host rivals UT Permian Basin inside Stephens Arena/Junell Center this Thursday evening.
The Rams are 22-5 on the season and 18-3 in conference play; they sit a half-game back of West Texas A&M in both the Lone Star Conference standings and the LSC West Division.
The Rams have clinched a top-three seed at next week's LSC Tournament; to grab the number one seed, the Rams need to win against the Falcons on Thursday, and Lubbock Christian needs to beat West Texas A&M in both of their matchups this week.
In their current four-game winning streak, the Rams score 69.8 points per game on 42.9 percent shooting from the field. Defensively, they force opponents into 17.3 turnovers per game and score 58.5 points; opponents only shoot 24.4 percent from three in that stretch.
Kevon Godwin has led the Rams offense all season; over the past four games, he is averaging 18.8 points per game on 45.3 percent shooting. This season, he averages 18.0 points per game and leads the LSC in threes made and three-point shooting percentage (40.6 percent).
The last time the Falcons and the Rams met was on January 24
th in Odessa, a game in which the Rams won 75-72. Godwin led all players with 30 points on 10-of-19 shooting.

UT Permian Basin is 13-17 on the season and 7-14 in conference play; this will be their final game, as they have been eliminated from LSC Tournament contention.
The Falcons average 71.4 points per game on 44.3 percent shooting, led by Azariah Seay's 16.4 points per game.
In the January 24
th meeting, the Falcons featured four players in double figures scoring, led by Seay's 18 points.
Keyon Craddick scored 13 points, while Max Warren and DaJuan Jones added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
The Rams are 15-11 all-time against the Falcons.
