SAN ANGELO - For the first time in three weeks, the Angelo State men's basketball team competes inside the Junell Center - Stephens Arena this weekend when they welcome St. Mary's and St. Edward's into San Angelo for a pair of contests.
LAST TIME OUT
The Rams dropped both games last weekend on the road, losing to Midwestern State in double overtime last Thursday before falling to Cameron on Saturday. Against the Mustangs,
Shemar Smith recorded his first double-double for the Rams with 15 points and 11 rebounds in 48 minutes of action while
Kevon Godwin led the Rams with 20 points in 49 minutes. Against the Aggies,
Keyshawn Embery-Simpson led the Rams with 27 points on 9-for-19 shooting from the field while
Willie Guy scored 19 points.

As a team, the Rams rank in the top five in the LSC in opponent field goal percentage (fourth - 42.4 percent), three-point percentage (third - 39.1 percent), three-pointers made (third - 9.5 per game), and blocked shots (fifth - 3.53 per game).
Keyshawn Embery-Simpson is fourth in the league in scoring with 18.9 points per game and is second in three-point percentage (43.6 percent). Him and
Kevon Godwin are second and third in threes made per game with 3.4 and 2.9, respectively. Godwin is fourth in assists with 4.4 per game and third in minutes played with 34.3 minutes logged per contest.

The Rattlers are 8-8 overall and 4-6 in LSC play; they are riding a three-game winning streak, with home wins over UT Tyler, UAFS, and Oklahom Christian. The Rattlers are 1-4 on the road this season, with their only road win coming on November 30th against Western New Mexico.

The Hilltoppers are 13-6 overall and 6-4 in LSC play; they are coming off a split last weekend which saw them lose at home to Oklahoma Christian before rebounding to beat UAFS last Saturday. The Hilltoppers are 4-1 on the road this season.

- Guard Everson Armstrong scored four points against Cameron on January 20th, making a pair of field goals; he also recorded his first-career assist against Arlington Baptist on Nov. 25.
- Forward DJ Basey set a new career-high with four blocks against Western New Mexico on Jan. 4 and tied his career-high of eight rebounds against Oklahoma Christian on Dec. 9; he attempted a career-high 12 field goals and tied his personal best of eight field goals made against ENMU on Jan. 6.
- Forward Chris Boekhorst recorded his first-career assist against Arlington Baptist on Nov. 25; he made two shots against the Patriots, tying a career-high.
- Guard Kendrick Delahoussaye scored 14 points twice, doing so against Arlington Baptist and Lubbock Christian; he grabbed four rebounds versus Eastern New Mexico on Jan. 6 and assisted five times against LCU.
- Guard Keyshawn Embery-Simpson scored a career-high 36 points for the Rams against LCU on Jan. 13. He went 12-for-20 from the field; he has made seven threes twice, doing so against West Liberty and LCU. Embery-Simpson also went 6-for-8 from the charity stripe against Cameron on Jan. 20, new career highs in free throw makes and attempts.
- Forward Trey Farrer grabbed four steals in the Rams' double-overtime contest against MSU on Jan. 18.

- Guard Jacob Richardson scored his first bucket against Arlington Baptist on Nov. 25; he also recorded his first career rebound, assist and block. He recorded his first steal versus Rollins on Dec. 17.
- Forward Shemar Smith rejected a pair of shots in the Rams 101-98 win over No. 6 West Liberty on Dec. 18.
- Guard Carvell Teasett grabbed a new personal best of six rebounds in the Rams' win over Eastern New Mexico on Jan. 6.
