RICHARDSON, Texas – Kenton Allen was named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after helping the Rams to a 17-16 win over No. 17 Central Washington.
 
Allen, a junior linebacker majoring in computer science, had a game-high 13 tackles and a key fourth-quarter interception to help the Rams stay atop the conference standings. His interception came on the ASU 15-yard line to keep the score 17-10 with under eight minutes to play. Allen and company held CWU without a TD in the first and third quarters. The Rams have allowed just 40 points with two shutouts over their last six games.
 
The Rams are on the road this weekend as they make the trip out west to take on Western Oregon on Saturday, Nov. 9 with a chance to win the conference title for the second time in three seasons.
