SAN ANGELO - The Angelo State men's basketball team closes out their home schedule this weekend, with LSC West Division rivals Cameron and Midwestern State making the trip into the Junell Center - Stephens Arena to take on the Rams.
LAST TIME OUT IN RAMS BASKETBALL
The Rams dropped their home contests to Lubbock Christian and No. 1 West Texas A&M last weekend, their first two losses on their home court under head coach
Vinay Patel. The Chaps defeated the Rams 75-50, and the Rams struggled from deep, only converting on two of their 13 attempts from three. Saturday's 94-90 overtime loss to the Buffs saw
Kevon Godwin eclipse the 1,000-point mark; he finished with 22 points on the day.
SENIOR SATURDAY
Saturday's game against Midwestern State will be the Rams' home finale for the season and will see the Rams basketball program honor the six seniors in their program -

GODWIN JOINS 1,000-POINT CLUB
Kevon Godwin became the 13th player in program history to score 1,000 points for the Blue and Gold. Godwin currently sits at 1,009 points, just seven points off of 12th-place Johnny Spriggs (1968-72) and 37 points off of David Milburn (1965-68) in 11th place. Godwin is also third in career three-pointers made with 144.

- Guard Everson Armstrong scored six points against St. Mary's on Jan. 25.
- Forward DJ Basey set a new career-high with four blocks against Western New Mexico on Jan. 4 and tied his career-high of eight rebounds against Oklahoma Christian on Dec. 9; he attempted a career-high 12 field goals and tied his personal best of eight field goals made against ENMU on Jan. 6.
- Forward Chris Boekhorst recorded his first-career assist against Arlington Baptist on Nov. 25; he made two shots against the Patriots, tying a career-high.
- Guard Kendrick Delahoussaye scored 14 points twice, doing so against Arlington Baptist and Lubbock Christian; he grabbed four rebounds versus Eastern New Mexico on Jan. 6 and assisted five times against LCU.
- Guard Keyshawn Embery-Simpson scored a career-high 37 points for the Rams against WNMU on Feb. 3. He has made seven threes twice, doing so against West Liberty and LCU. - Forward Shemar Smith rejected a pair of shots in the Rams 101-98 win over No. 6 West Liberty on Dec. 18.
- Guard Carvell Teasett grabbed a new personal best of six rebounds in the Rams' win over Eastern New Mexico on Jan. 6.
