SAN ANGELO, Texas – Angelo State Baseball's
Tripp Clark has been named the NCBWA South Central Region Hitter of the Week after his performance against Cameron.
Clark, a senior accounting major from Waco, Texas, led the top-ranked Rams at the plate in a 4-0 sweep of the Aggies last weekend. Clark was 8-for-13 with four home runs, one triple and 13 RBIs to lead top-ranked Angelo State to a four-game sweep of Cameron. He also scored seven runs, walked once, stole a base and did not strike out. In the series finale, Clark had a two-homer game with six RBIs. He drove in at least two runs and had an extra-base hit in every game.
The Rams continue Lone Star Conference play on Friday as they take on UT Permian Basin on the road.
