SAN ANGELO, Texas – For the second time this season, Angelo State Baseball's Alezeah Gutierrez has been named the NCBWA South Central Region Pitcher of the Week.
 
Gutierrez, a criminal justice major, tossed a two-hit shutout to lead Angelo State to a road win over Texas A&M International. Gutierrez, who takes the LSC's top weekly pitching award for the second time this season, did not allow a runner past first base. He struck out three batters and walked just two over the seven innings. It was his second shutout of the season.
 
The Rams are back at home this weekend as they host Texas A&M – Kingsville beginning on Friday.
