SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State baseball team have been ranked No. 2 by D2 Baseball in the platform's preseason top 25 poll released Sunday night.

The Rams completed the 2024 season with a 44-21 record and finished as the National Runner-Up in the team's fourth straight trip to the College World Series where the Blue and Gold fell to Tampa, who sits atop the rankings.

ASU is not the only team representing the Lone Star Conference as Lubbock Christian sits 16^th while West Texas A&M will start the season 24^th.

The Rams open the season with a four-game series against UT Permian Basin beginning on Friday, Jan. 31 at Foster Field at 1^st Community Credit Union Stadium.
