RICHARDSON, Texas – With the 2025-26 season set to tip off in less than a month, the Lone Star Conference released its preseason women's basketball poll Monday, selecting Angelo State to finish sixth in the league standings.
Defending LSC champion Texas Woman's was picked to repeat, earning 20 of the 51 first-place votes. Lubbock Christian, the reigning South Central Regional champion, came in second.
UT Tyler, West Texas A&M, and Eastern New Mexico rounded out the top five. Behind Angelo State, Texas A&M-Kingsville, UT Permian Basin, Midwestern State, and St. Mary's completed the top 10.
The Rambelles open the 2025-26 campaign with a three-game road trip to Colorado, facing Adams State, Regis, and Western Colorado from Nov. 14–17. ASU returns home to open its home slate on Nov. 21 against Fort Lewis.
