SAN ANGELO, Texas - The Angelo State women's basketball team had
Madeline Stephens named to the D2CCA All-South-Central Region Second Team, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.

Stephens earned her first All-Region selection after being named to the Lone Star Conference Academic and First Team, leading her team to an 18-12 record and an appearance in the semifinals of the LSC Tournament.Â

The Business administration graduate student has been in the top ten in the LSC in many statistical categories all season: 9.1 rebounds per game (3rd), 1.0Â blocked shots per game (4th), 1.7 steals per game (9th), 33 minutes played per game (5th).

During her career, Stephens reached the 1,000-point mark and broke the program record for rebounds in a career with 1,114. Stephens is fourth all-time with 1,720 career points, fifth all-time in steals with 194 and Stephens is fifth all-time in blocks with 194 for her career.Â

During Stephens illustrious career, she was named to the LSC First Team and All-Academic Team in 2024, the LSC Tournament MVP, and to the All-LSC Second Team in 2023, and was named to the All-LSC Honorable Mention team in 2022. Stephens was also a four-time member of the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. Â
