Rambelles Fall to Texas Woman's in the Semifinals of the LSC Championship

FRISCO, Texas - The Rambelles fall to Texas Woman's, 71-58, in the semifinals of the Lone Star Conference Championship.
 
With the loss, the Rambelles have an 18-12 overall record with hopes of making it into the South Central Regional.
 
40 Minute Rundown
  • Addy Burns would score the Rambelles first points of the game five minutes into the first quarter.
  • Madeline Stephens would hit a three from the corner to bring the Rambelles deficit to three, 13-10.
  • The Rambelles would go into second quarter down six, 18-12.
  • The Pioneers went on an 8-2 run to give the Pioneers their first double-digit lead. The score would be 30-20 with 6:07 remaining in the first half. 
  • The Pioneers ended the second half on a 9-2 run to go into halftime with an, 43-26 lead.
  • The Belles wouldn't score their first bucket until 5:46 in the third when Keniah Williams would get an open look to make the score, 47-30.

  • The Pioneers would be able to halt the Rambelles momentum in the fourth quarter to win the contest, 71-58, and advance to the LSC Championship final.

  • Keniah Williams would lead the team in scoring for the second consecutive game recording 16 points, nine rebounds, and four blocks.
  • Madi Lumsden would be the other double-digit scorer for the Rambelles recording 11 points, two rebounds, two steals, and one assist.
  • The Belles would have nine different scorers in the contest.
  • The Belles shot 35 percent (18-51) from the field, 31 percent (5-16) from beyond the arc, and 81 percent (17-21) from the free throw line.
  • The Pioneers would win the rebound battle 38-32.

  • The Belles were never able to come back from the 8-0 deficit at the beginning of the game.
