Gabi Ashcraft is named the Lone Star Conference Setter of the Week for her standout performances this past weekend for the Belles.
Helping the Belles to go undefeated across three matches, Ashcraft averaged 8.20 assists per set as the Belles hit .301 for the week.
At Western New Mexico on Tuesday, the Elementary Education student assisted 23 times while recording four digs and a kill.
On her home court against Eastern New Mexico, Ashcraft had 28 helpers, eight digs, two aces, and a kill.
Closing the weekend against No. 14 West Texas A&M, the Rockwall native turned in her best performance for the Blue and Gold, assisting 31 times and recording 13 digs.
In the Belles' four-match winning streak, Ashcraft has been in good form, averaging 7.40 assists per set, while the Belles have hit .296 as a team over the past four matches.
This is Ashcraft's first weekly award of her career and the third of the season for the Belles.
The Belles are 17-7 on the season and 11-2 in LSC play; they are on the road this weekend to face Midwestern State and league-leading Lubbock Christian.
