INDIANAPOLIS – Angelo State track and field concluded day one of the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships in Indianapolis, competing in two events on Thursday at the Fall Creek Pavilion.
Through four events of the heptathlon,
Mark Burdin sits in second place with a total score of 3,140 points. He finished second in the shot put with a mark of 14.74 (48-4.50) and took third in the high jump at 1.98m (6-9.5).
He'll wrap up the heptathlon tomorrow with the remaining three events beginning with the 60-meter hurdles at 11:20 a.m. ET.
Competing in the 400-meter dash,
Rami Balti finished 10
th overall, running a time of 47.58, earning Second-Team All-American in the event.
ASU will also compete in both 200-meter dashes tomorrow with
Jacent Nyamahunge running at 5:00 p.m. ET, following by
Solomon Odonkor in the men's race.
