AUSTIN, Texas – The Angelo State track and field teams concluded day two of the Texas Relays on Friday, competing at the Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium.
The men's 4x40om relay team of
Taylor Briggs,
Tristan Guerrero,
Adrian Nethersole, and
Rami Balti advanced to the finals after qualifying with a time of 3:09.98 to win their heat. Their time is also the fastest time in Division II so far this season.
Federica Dozio improved on her Division II leading mark in the women's javelin, throwing 48-69m (159-9) to take seventh overall in the event.
In the men's triple jump,
Josh Body took third overall, jumping a mark of 15.16m (49-9), while
Solomon Odonkor turned in a provisional mark in the 100m dash with a time of 10.55 to finish 22
nd overall.
On Thursday,
Oleg Ananev took second overall in the men's pole vault, clearing a provisional height of 5.60m (18-4.5).
Antonio Blair earned a provisional time in the 800m, taking seventh overall with a time of 1:49.99.
In the women's 400m hurdles,
Shackelia Green finished eighth overall with a time of 1:03.10 while
Marcus Wilson ran 55.84 to finish 13
th in the men's 400m hurdles.
ASU will conclude the Texas Relays on Saturday.
