Odonkor Runs Top 100m Time, #12 Rams, #11 Rambelles Tally 18 Provisionals at ASU Invite

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The 12th-ranked Rams and 11th-ranked Rambelles concluded their final home meet of the season as they wrapped up the ASU Invite on Thursday at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field.
 
Solomon Odonkor turned in the fastest time in Division II this season in the 100m dash, crossing the finish line in 10.08 to win the event. He also jumped up to fourth overall in the 200m dash, running a time of 20.55 to finish first overall.
 
In the men's 400m dash, Rami Balti finished with the fastest time at 46.85 which ranks 12th in Division II. Mark Burdin took first in the 110m hurdles at 14.73 and won the long jump with a mark of 7.08m (23-2.75)
 
Oleg Ananev took first overall in the pole vault (5.30m | 17.4-5) while Pacer Hill set a new personal best with a provisional mark of 4.91m (16-1.25) to finish second.
 
Winning the men's discus was Kobi Valchar who threw a provisional mark of 51.81m (170-0) while Cole Paxton won the men's hammer with a throw of 52.42m (172-0).
 
On the women's side, Fedra Florentin moved up to No. 10 in Division II in the shot put, winning the event with a throw of 14.83m (48-8). Kylie Frush also improved her provisional mark in the long jump, earning a mark of 6.05m (19-10.25) which ranks 14th in Division II.
 
Maricia Spence won the 100m hurdles with a provisional time of 13.87 which is 15th overall in Division II while Kaylee Price and Lainey Jernigan both earned provisional times in the 400m hurdles at 1:01.56 and 1:02.05 respectively.
 
In the women's hammer, Marie Schuler won with a provisional toss of 59.44m (195-0) while Esma Pajt took second with a provisional mark of 56.31m (184-9).
 
Overall, ASU combined for 18 provisional marks on the week.
 
The Rams and Rambelles will now prepare for the 2025 Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships which are set for May 1-3 in Portales, N.M.
