CANYON, Texas – Five players from the top-ranked Angelo State baseball team have been named to the D2 Conference Commissioner's Association All-South Central Region teams, the organization announced Monday afternoon.
Jacob Guerrero,
Dax Dathe and
Chase Pendley were named to the first team, while
Austin Beck and
Ethan Flodstrom earned second-team honors.
Guerrero, a senior from Colleyville, Texas, earned his second all-region nod of the season and the sixth of his career. The accounting major ranks among the Lone Star Conference's top 10 in several offensive categories, including batting average (.407, 8th), doubles (19, 6th), hits (87, 6th), stolen bases (20, 6th), total bases (135, 5th), triples (4, 6th), runs scored (74, 3rd) and walks (41, 8th).
Pendley, an interdisciplinary studies major from Prosper, Texas, received his second first-team all-region honor at designated hitter. The junior batted .398 with a .469 on-base percentage and a .526 slugging percentage in 2025, totaling 78 hits, 13 doubles, three triples and 47 RBIs.
Dathe, the Rams' lone pitcher on the list, collected his fourth first-team all-region selection. The right-hander went 9-1 with a 2.82 ERA in 2025, tallying 92 strikeouts across 67 innings with two complete-game shutouts.
Beck, an exercise science major from Allen, Texas, returned strong after missing most of the 2024 season. The second baseman hit .377 with 10 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 48 RBIs. A former Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year, Beck recently broke both the Angelo State program record for career stolen bases and the LSC record for career runs scored. This is his second all-region selection of the season and the sixth of his career.
Flodstrom, a senior business management major from Port Angeles, Washington, earned his first all-region honor as a member of the Rams. He ranks among the national leaders in on-base percentage (.567) and walks (55), while batting .393 with 66 hits, 18 doubles, seven home runs and 49 RBIs.
