SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State women's basketball team will host Cameron at 5:30 p.m. in Stephens Arena at the Junell Center in a Lone Star Conference game.
The Belles are 9-12 and 6-9 in LSC play. ASU has won three of its last four games and is 5-4 at the Junell Center.
ASU is averaging 57.2 points per game at home and shooting 37.5 percent from the field which is slightly under its season average of 40.2. The Belles rebound better at home averaging 44 per game compared to just 40.4 during the season.
The blocked shot seem to come more at Stephens arena with 4.4 per game compared to 3.9 in the season.
Lauren Holt is the team's leader in points at the Junell Center at 11.8 and
Leah LeMaire is scored 11.2 in at home. LeMaire scores more at home than her season average of 10.6 but Holt's average dips just slightly at 12.0 on the season. The other Belles in double figures,
Haylee Oliver, scores 10.6 at home compared to 11.9 for the season.
A majority of the team rebounds better at home with Holt averaging one rebound more per game at the Junell Center.
The defense of the Belles holds teams to less than 57.8 points per game while limiting opponent to 33.3-percent shooting. ASU forces more turnovers per game (14.8) at home.
The Belles dropped the first game to Cameron 70-61 in Lawton, Okla. ASU hit the second-most 3-pointers in a game with seven but struggled in the first half down 37-24 at the break.
Cameron was outscored 37-33 in the second half by Angelo State but the Belles could complete the comeback. Holt and Oliver both scored 16 points with Oliver grabbing 15 boards as well.
