LUBBOCK, Texas – Postseason accolades continue for the Angelo State University women's basketball program as
Majik Esquivel was tabbed Second Team All-South Central Region by the Division II Conference Commissioners' Association (D2CCA) as announced by the organization Thursday.
Esquivel, a sophomore majoring in commercial aviation, led the Rambelles in scoring at 17.2 points per game — the second-highest average in the Lone Star Conference. The Lubbock native, who was named First Team All-LSC back on Mar. 4, shot 40.3% from the field and 31.4% from 3-point range. She also totaled 93 rebounds and 49 steals.
Sports information directors from NCAA Division II South Central Region schools and conferences selected the all-region teams. The process concludes with D2CCA All-America selections, which will be announced later this month.
