SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State women's tennis team dropped to 6-2 on the season as they lost to Central Oklahoma 4-1 at home Friday afternoon.

ASU lost all three matches in doubles on the day. At number one, Valentina Gonzalez and Ena Ovcina lost 6-3. Zoe Gubbels and Virginie Becht lost 6-3 at number two and Lucie Maitrot and Maria Delgadillo lost 7-5 at number three.

At number one singles, Valentina Gonzalez earned the Rams a point as she won 6-3, 7-5. Maria Delgadillo lost 6-4, 6-4 at number three, Zoe Gubbels lost 7-6 (4), 6-4 at number five, and Yasmine Ansari lost at number six 6-3, 6-2. The other two matches were in progress when the match ended.

The Belles will have a quick turnaround as they take on Oklahoma Baptist at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
