LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – The Angelo State women's tennis team improved to 13-3 on the season as they defeated Cal State Los Angeles 4-3 Thursday afternoon.

In doubles, the Belles easily won the point as the duo of Valentina Gonzalez and Ena Ovcina won 6-3, the duo of Zoe Gubbels and Virginie Becht won 6-2, and the duo of Lucie Maitrot and Maria Delgadillo won 6-1.

The singles matches were much more closely contested. Gonzalez won 6-3, 6-3, Delgadillo won 6-4, 6-4, and Zoe Gubbels won 6-0, 3-6, 6-1, while Ovcina lost 7-6, 6-1, Becht lost 6-2, 6-4, and Yasmine Ansari lost 7-5, 6-2.

The Belles will be in action again tomorrow as they take on Concordia Irvine.
