GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Angelo State University women's tennis team competed against Southwestern University in an exhibition match on Saturday afternoon claiming a 6-3 victory.

- In doubles, Valentina Gonzalez and Ena Ovcina grabbed the first point for ASU in an 8-3 victory over their opponents, Esther Bowers and Nina Mitvafanova to tie the match.
- Virginie Becht and Anna Schneemann teamed up in doubles and claimed the last point to give the Belles a 2-1 lead in the match, as they defeated their opponents Alli Ziehm and Cecile Wilde, 8-1.
- In singles, Maria Delgadillo grabbed the first point for ASU defeating her opponent Emma Kesterson in two straight sets by scores of 6-2 and 6-3.
- Zoe Gubbels claimed the second point to keep the lead in favor of ASU, defeating her opponent in two straight sets by scores of 6-3 and 6-2.
- Daniela Rodriguez kept the points coming as she claimed another point for the Blue and Gold defeating Mitrafanova by scores of 7-5 and 6-2.
- Gonzalez closed out the match defeating her opponent Mary Cardone by a score of 6-3 in set one and then battled in set two, edging out a 7-5 victory to give ASU the win at 6-3 for the match.

Angelo State will head to Edmond and Shawnee, Oklahoma, to compete against Oklahoma Baptist and the University of Central Oklahoma on Saturday, February 15 and Sunday, February 16. First serve on Saturday is to be determined and 10 a.m. on Sunday.
