PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Angelo State track & field teams concluded the Pittsburg State Invitational, tallying 13 provisional marks on the day at the Robert W. Plaster Center.
Kylyie Paden won the women's high jump open, clearing a height of 1.63m (5'-4.25") while
Maricia Spence tied for first in the women's long jump with a provisional mark of 5.80m (19'-0.25").
Abby Zamzow also earned a provisional, taking third overall in the triple jump with a mark of 12.07m (39'-7.25").
Spence and
Ariyah Samuels both earned provisional times in the finals of 60-meter hurdles, taking second and fifth respectively at 8.52 and 8.80.
Jacent Nyamahunge collected two provisional times in the meet, taking second in the 200-meter dash at 24.47 and finishing fifth overall in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.53.
The Belles placed two runners in the top four of the 400-meter dash as
Shadae Findley took second at 54.46 followed by
Fatoumata Kabo in fourth at 55.78, both earning provisional times.
The 4x400-meter relay team of
Zykia McDaniel, Kabo, Spence and Findley set a new meet record while taking first overall, earning a provisional time of 3:43.31.
On the men's side, Josh Minton (1.94m | 6'-4.5") took fourth in the high jump open followed by
Josh Body (1.91m | 6'-3.25"), both earning provisional marks.
Jacobee Jones also earned a provisional mark, clearing a height of 4.93m (16'-2") in the pole vault to finish fifth overall.
Body also earned a provisional in the triple jump, taking third overall with a jump of 14.81m (48'-7").
In the 4x400-meter relay,
Bossman Pinkrah,
Max Wassmer,
Romel Plummer and
Tristan Guerrero finished eighth overall, running a time of 3:17.85, narrowly missing a provisional time.
