Richardson, Texas – After a weekend in which the Angelo State volleyball team went on the road and collected wins over St. Edward's and St. Mary's, Rambelles graduate student setter
Adeline Ortman was named the LSC Setter of the Week for the third time this season.
Ortman averaged a double-double for the week as the Belles swept St. Edward's before mounting a five-set comeback to win in their road finale against St. Mary's on Saturday.
Against the Hilltoppers, she had 35 assists, five digs, and a pair of aces before turning in a 56-assist, 18-dig performance against the Rattlers; she also added a pair of aces and three blocks.
Her effort against St. Mary's saw her record her eighth double-double and her fourth 50-plus assist match of the season.
The MBA student averages 11.56 assists per set, the most in the LSC and seventh in Division II. She also averaged 0.40 aces per set, the fifth-best in the league.
This is the eighth weekly honor for the Belles this season, the most in the LSC.
The Belles are 21-2 on the season and 11-1 in LSC play. They have a four-match homestand to close the regular season, starting this weekend against Cameron and Oklahoma Christian.
