LUBBOCK, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams concluded day one of the Jarvis Scott Open hosted by Texas Tech on Friday, earning several provisional marks at the Sports Performance Center.
For the sixth-ranked Rambelles,
Shadae Findley led all Division II competitors in the 400-meter dash, taking fourth overall with a time of 54.21 and
Zykia McDaniel finished 22
nd overall in the event, running a time of 55.70, both earning provisional times.
In the women's pole vault,
Kylyie Paden finished eighth overall with a mark of 3.48m (11'-5") and
Camryn Barros took 13
th with a height of 3.33m (10'-11").
Jacent Nyamahunge ran a provisional time of 7.54 in the women's 60-meter dash to take 15
th overall while
Maricia Spence finished ninth in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.43 followed by
Ariyah Samuels in 16
th at 8.68, both of which led all Division II athletes and earned a provisional time. Spence added another provisional mark, taking eighth in the long jump at 5.73m (18'-9.75").
In section b of the long jump,
Abby Zamzow finished seventh overall with a mark of 5.64m (18'-6") while
Kylie Frush took 15
th with a jump of 5.46m (17'-11").
On the men's side,
Kyle Lumpkins earned an eighth-place finish in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.71m (15'-5.5").
Cole Paxton was a top-five finisher in section B of the weight throw, taking fifth with a toss of 17.84m (58'-6.5").
David Morgan earned a provisional time in the 60-meter dash, crossing the finish line at 6.84 while
Max Wassmer added another provisional in the 400-meter dash, finishing at 48.22.
