ABILENE, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams wrapped up the Wes Kittley Invitational hosted by Abilene Christian on Saturday at Grey Elmer Stadium.
The Rambelles 4x400-meter relay team of
Alliyah Harrison,
Anna Riccomagno,
Kylie Frush, and
Averie Griffith finished with the top time running 3:59.40. The Belles also claimed fourth overall in the event as
Allison Vaughn,
Ariyah Samuels,
Mary Brown, and
Anna Eischen finished with a time of 4:14.60.
Riccomagno also finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.33 followed by Griffith who finished fifth at 1:4.64.
Zykia McDaniel took third in the 200-meter dash, running a time of 25.03 while Griffith was third in the 100-meter hurdles at 14.20, earning a provisional mark.
Kylyie Paden was the top finisher in the high jump, earning a mark of 1.6m (5-3) to win the event.
In the women's triple jump, Vaughn finished third with a jump of 11.78m (38-7.75) followed by Frush in fourth (11.19m | 36-8.5) and
Maggie Morales in fifth (10.84m | 35-6.75). Frush also finished third in the long jump with a mark of 5.48m (17-11.75) while Vaughn took fourth at 5.47m (17-11.5).
Katelyn Bohensky and
Camryn Barros finished fourth and fifth respectively in the pole vault, clearing heights of 3.25m (10-8) and 3.10m (10-2).
Tiamara Hill-Johnson took fourth overall in the discus, throwing a mark of 44.81m (147-0) while also finishing fifth in the hammer with a toss of 42.74m (140-3).
On the men's side, the 4x400-meter relay team of
Romel Plummer,
Kyle Lumpkins, Josh Minton, and
Brad Humphreys finished second overall with a time of 3:24.30. Plummer also finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.59 followed by Humphreys in fourth at 56.00.
Solomon Odonkor took second overall in the 200-meter dash at 21.03 to earn a provisional mark, followed by
Tristan Guerrero in third at 21.41. Odonkor also took fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.53 while Lumpkins took sixth in the 110-meter hurdles at 14.85.
Finishing second overall and earning a provisional mark in the pole vault was
Jacobee Jones who cleared a height of 4.85m (15-11) while
Pacer Hill took fourth with a height of 4.55m (14-11).
Emanual Evans finished fourth overall in the high jump with a mark of 1.85m (6-0.75) and
Cole Paxton claimed fifth overall in the hammer with a toss of 52.59m (172-6).
The Rams and Belles will compete at the Texas Tech Invite next weekend, beginning on Friday, Mar. 22.
