AUSTIN, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams concluded the first day of the Texas Relays in Austin on Thursday.
 
For the fifth-ranked Rambelles, Allison Vaughn and Averie Griffith competed in the 400-meter hurdles. Vaughn finished 34^th overall in the event with a time of 1:04.59 followed by Griffith in 35^th at 1:05.12.
 
The 11^th-ranked Rams competed in two events on Thursday, running in the 400-meter hurdles and competing in the javelin. Ruben Davila finished 17^th overall in the hurdles, crossing the finish line in 55.19 while Brad Humphreys ran a time of 56.07 to take 24^th.
 
Luis Alvarado finished 13^th overall in the javelin, tossing a mark of 53.59m (175-10).
 
The Rams and Rambelles continue the meet tomorrow with field events beginning at 9 a.m., and running events beginning at 9:35 a.m.
