Women's Tennis Will Burrow, Assistant Director of Athletic Communications

The No. 12 Rambelles Travel to Orlando to Take on Sioux Falls, Emporia State, and Slippery Rock

San Angelo, Texas - The 12th-ranked Angelo State women's tennis team is hitting the road as they travel to Orlando, Florida, to take on Sioux Falls (Mar.11), Emporia State (Mar.12), Slippery Rock (Mar.15).
 
The Rambelles are coming off a 1-0 week after defeating Texas A&M - Kingsville 4-3. With the Victory the Rambelles moved into the ranking and now are ranked 12th nationally.
 
Letizia Corsini is ranked 19th nationally after defeating Alessa Mier 6-3, 6-1 in her last match; with the victory, Letizia Corsini moved to 8-0 in singles and 9-0 in doubles play, leading the way for the Rambelles.  Christine Jevicky is 7-1 this season in singles action.
 
Avery Durham and Eva Schwartz are ranked 19th nationally in doubles heading into the trip to Orlando, Florida, after going 6-3 to this point in the season. No. 2 doubles Ayda Guler and Letizia Corsini are 9-0 to this point in the season after their victory against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
 
This will be the first match-up between Sioux Falls (3-2). Sioux Falls is coming into the match, going 0-1 in the previous week after losing to Gustavus Adolphus 6-3. Sydney Osburn leads the way for the Sioux Falls as she is 11-5 in singles play. She Doubles pairing of Talia Janos and Danielle Thorfinnson leads the way for the panthers being 6-3 to this point in the season.
 
The Rambelles match-up on the second day is against Emporia State (1-4). This will be the first match-up. Emporia State is coming into the match, losing their most recent match 5-2 to #15 Southern Arkansas. Anastasia Pesic is leading the Way for Emporia Stat being 4-1 in singles play. The pairing of Perla Conde and Sheriden Wichman are 3-1 to this point of the season being the best doubles for the hornets so far.
 
The Rambelle's last match-up in Orlando will be against Slippery Rock (3-2). This will be the first match-up between the two teams. Slippery Rock is coming into the match-up, winning its last contest 6-1 against Ashland University.  Nicole Kempton leads the way for Slippery Rock as she is 6-2 in the singles portion to this point in the season. The pairing of Amaia Balaguer Brau and Dari Sakhanova is the best doubles team for the lions going 3-1 heading into the trip to Orlando.
