COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams concluded Texas A&M's Alumni Muster on Saturday at E.B. Cushing Stadium.
The seventh-ranked Rambelles earned the top four times in the 400-meter hurdles as
Ariyah Samuels finished first overall with a time of 1:04.16. Following her was
Allison Vaughn (1:04.33),
Averie Griffith (1:06.40) and
Anna Riccomagno (1:09.07.
Samuels also turned in a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles, running a time of 14.37 to finish fifth overall, followed by
Maricia Spence in sixth at 14.55 and Griffith in seventh at 14.57.
Finishing second overall in the 400-meter dash was
Zykia McDaniel who crossed the finish line with a time of 56.51.
Spence finished fourth overall in the long jump with a mark of 5.74m (18-10) while
Kylie Frush took fifth at 5.44m (17-10.25) and Riccomagno in sixth at 5.24m (17-9.25).
Vaughn also finished third in the triple jump, earning a mark of 11.93m (39-1.75) while
Tiamara Hill-Johnson threw 49.18m (161-4) in the discus to take sixth.
On the men's side,
Max Wassmer finished fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.15 followed by
Bossman Pinkrah in fifth at 48.88 and
Prince Frimpong in seventh at 49.30.
Dorian Leda finished 10
th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.74 while
Luis Alvarado took third in the javelin with a throw of 54.20m (177-10) and
Jacobee Jones finished fifth in the pole vault at 5.16m (16-11).
ASU will compete at Texas Tech next weekend in the final regular season meet of the year beginning on Friday, Apr. 26.
