SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams concluded the first day of the David Noble Relays on Thursday with the seventh-ranked Rambelles leading the heptathlon.
Maricia Spence leads the heptathlon through the first four events, totaling 3,458 points. She earned the top time in the 100-meter hurdles, running 13.62, and was the top finisher in the shot put with a throw of 12.71m (41-8.5).
Holding the third spot is
Anna Riccomagno with 3,138 points while
Abby Zamzow is in fifth with 3,019 points and
Allison Vaughn is in sixth with 2,979 points.
On the men's side,
Mark Burdin sits in fifth in the decathlon with 3,709 points, earning the top mark in the shot put with a throw of 13.80m (45-3.25) while taking second in the long jump at 7.01m (23-0).
The combined events continue tomorrow with the decathlon resuming at 1 p.m. with the 110-meter hurdles while the heptathlon begins at 2 p.m. with the long jump.
