Jason Potthoff has started his third spring season strong, setting a new program record by starting the season 12-0. The Belles currently sit at 12-3 heading into this weekend's matchups. Last season, the Belles made it to the round of 16 for the first time in program history.Â

The Rambelles are coming into the contest against No. 2 Midwestern State and Cameron with an overall record of 12-3 falling to UT Tyler 5-2 in their last contest.

No. 2 Midwestern State comes into the weekend having won its last two contests against No. 19 Lubbock Christian 4-3 and UT Permian Basin 6-1. The Mustangs will face off against Texas A&M-Kingsville on April 5th before they square off with the Rambelles on April 6th.Â

The Belles lead the all-time series 4-2 losing their last matchup 4-3 on Mar. 29th against the Mustangs.Â

Jessica Binzari leads the way for the Mustangs ranked 6th in the nation she is 10-2 in singles play. Binzari and Anda Ghinga are ranked 20th in the nation in doubles play and are 8-5 overall in doubles action.Â

Sofia Giraldo is ranked 24th in the nation and 9-5 in singles action. Has only played in one doubles match this season winning that contest.Â

Hannah Yip and Camila Garcia are ranked 36th in the nation in doubles posting a 7-4 record to this point in the season.Â

Cameron comes into the matchup having lost its last two contests, 5-2 against UTPB on Mar.28th and 6-1 to Lubbock Christian on Mar. 29th.Â

This will be the 10th matchup between the two teams with ASU leading the series 7-3. ASU won the last matchup 4-2 on May 10th, 2024. Jenna Goessel leads the way for the Aggies with a 6-2 overall record in singles play. The pairing of Jenna Goessel and Anastasia Uspenskaia is ranked third in the ITA rankings for doubles play with a 5-4 overall record.Â

The Rambelles are 50-34 in singles play, with freshman
Margaux Rene leading the way starting her collegiate career 11-4 throughout the first 15 contests of the year, and is ranked 56th in the nation in singles play. Rene defeated Amelie Gindl 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 for her first win against a ranked opponent against Southern Arkansas. Gindl was sixth in the nation at the time of the match. Rene recorded her second win against a ranked opponent when she defeated the 75th-ranked singles player Jessica Bohnert 6-0, 6-2.
Ivet Stancheva continues her dominant form as she is 11-3 coming into the big matchup against No. 2 Midwestern State clinching many match victories for the Rambelles this season.

In doubles play, the Belles are 25-14 overall, led by the No. 13 ranked doubles pairing,
Avery Durham and
Eva Schwartz who are currently 8-3. The freshman pairing of
Benedetta Raggiotti and
Margaux Rene are 10-5 overall in doubles play.Â

Stancheva was named the Player of the Week for her performances against Central Oklahoma and Missouri Western.Â
